if greyrose gave codes to every single blogger out there, there would be TONS of mounts. Plus, it would be incredibly hard to track down every last blog that related to wizard101 and give them codes. I kind of agree with that. Otherwise, people would start making random blogs, blogs that might not have any views yet, and ask for mounts.
I can understand your question. KingsIsle utilizes fansites that have proven themselves over time. Any blog can, by it's own merits, work it's way up to "official", with diligence, perseverance, and adherence to KI's stipulations. Many of the 'Offical' sites have "stayed the course" over a period of years, and to reward that loyalty, KI allows them to demonstrate their W101 enthusiasm by giving free things to everyone. Like Stan Lee says "With great power comes great responsibility".
Persevere in your efforts, and you too may blog your way into 'Official' status.
